Adobe Training FAQs

We have put together the following frequently asked questions to help you find out more information about us, our classes, directions, local restaurants and so on.  As always, if you do not find the information you are looking for, please feel free to call (913-393-9856) or e-mail ( any time.

What time do classes start and finish?

Our classes start at 9:00 a.m. and typically end at 4:00 p.m., depending on class progress, questions and so on.

Where are you located?

We are located at 22121 W. 83rd Street Shawnee, Kansas 66227 and share a fabulous training lab with our friends at Tech Wyze, Inc. Please check our directions page for a map and links to driving directions through Google Maps.

What type of computers and operating systems do you use ?

We try to use the latest hardware and software on all of our systems, while still recognizing that some students may not have access to the newest technology.  Currently, we are using new Apple iMacs with at least 4GB of RAM.  We are using BootCamp software to dual-boot between Microsoft Windows 7 Professional and Mac OS X.  Each student can choose which system to use at system boot. Our instructors are equally proficient with both OSs and can use either one for each class.

What is a certified training partner?

All of our instructors are required to take (and pass) the latest certification exams for each of the applications that he or she teaches.  Also, as an Authorized Training Partner, we are required maintain a training facility and environment that meets the strict specifications set by Adobe.

Are your classes hands-on ?

Yes.  We feel that this is the best way for any student to learn.  Each student is provided a comfortable chair, a fast computer, a bright LCD monitor and lots of pop and candy.

Can you recommend any good hotels and restaurants?

Certainly.  The closest hotel is the Courtyard by Marriott (17250 Midland Dr, Shawnee, KS, 66217, 913-631-8800).  Also, there are many hotels within minutes of our location.  You might consider using  Here is a link to our specific location for  There are several restaurants in the area.  Our favorites are very close to our training facility. We recommend Callahan's, or J. Murphy's. Of course, we have a Subway, Sonic and Mr. Goodcents nearby, as well.

What are your class policies and procedures?

We try to keep things as student-friendly as possible.  That is, you are the focus of our business and we will treat you accordingly.  If you have to leave early or have an urgent appointment, we will accommodate your schedule the best we can.  Most importantly, we make every effort to customize the class to fit your specific training needs.

Payment - Payments are due no less than 7 business days prior to the class start date. We accept Visa, MasterCard and company and personal checks.  

Cancellations - Cancellations are due in writing via email or standard mail. Full refunds will be issued 14 calendar days prior to class start date, minus a 5 percent credit card processing fee (if necessary). A class credit to be used within 6 months will be issued if cancellation is made 7 calendar days prior to class start date. Cancellations of less than 7 calendar days will result in a 20 percent cancellation fee and a class credit for the remaining funds.

Re-Takes - If you want to re-take the same class within a 6 month period, you can for free.  Please contact us to make sure that there is enough room in the class you want to re-take, and bring your book.  

Weather - Of course, we have to be careful about the ever-changing weather in this part of the country.  In the case of inclement weather, we will cancel classes if the local colleges and community colleges cancel classes.  The best bet is to use common sense and never take a risk to get to one of our classes.  More than likely, we have cancelled the class, anyway.  We will simply move the class to another day or take care of the training another way. Schedule changes - Quite often we are faced with the task of accommodating many schedules.  This can be a challenge.  As a result, we may have to move the class schedules from time-to-time. We almost never cancel a class because of low enrollment and we will work with you directly to find the best available fit for your schedule.

Attire - We expect our students to be comfortable...but no pajamas, please.

What is your typical class size?

Our class sizes range from 2-8, with the class average at 3 or 4. We purposely keep our class sizes small because we have found it a much more satisfying experience for the students, as well as the instructors. Also, we get more opportunities to focus on the specific and impactful aspects of the tools that you will need for your current and upcoming projects.
